I was expecting this to be brutal but, honestly, its not that bad. I'd remove Snively from the trade and put him in the lineup where Miro is. Miro wont be ready until 24-25.

Miro is ready imo.... might need a month or 2 in Hershey but he looks elite level. Was at camp his shot in NHL level and he has great speed.

It's brutal for the Sharks. Not a single prospect or 1st. It's all cap dumps and Kuzy, who unless he really gets his s**t together, is also a cap dump

You do realize that Karlsson is 33 and has a brutal contract that will last until he is 37, right? What kind of haul do you think the Sharks will actually get? Multiple firsts or first-round equivalents? HA!

Caps have been real quiet on him ... makes me worry a bit, but I'll take your word.

i was being a dick... imo EK65 is a horrible defenseman and i wouldnt trade for him. Capitals already have Carlson who over the last 3 years has comparable numbers

lol i was making this as a joke. Capitals have the American Carlson who over the last 3 seasons is pretty comparable and cheaper. no need for a RSD when we have 3 really good ones atm

By literally every report, yes. This is the haul i'd expect if Sharks didn't retain at all, but EK65 at 8.5 is a fantastic contract. Especially with where the cap is going.

BTW He'll be 37 for like 3 months of that last contract. 36 isn't that old

Well there's some cap fans defending it lol. I'd expect John Carlson to get a substantially better return than this as well

I mean Carlson might get a 1st... but even im at 8m teams would likely pass. 30+ with term over 5-6m isnt exactly ideal for anyone on the receiving end. Burns is a great example
