The only way oil are going to take on ltir is if they can significantly improve their roster or create lots of cap space imo. I don’t think deangelo is the type of D they need and kulak has already proven he’s not quite top 4, even on his good side. Laughton doesn’t seem like a big enough upgrade on foegle to me as much as I’d love him in the bottom 6.

I don’t watch binnigton enough, but the thought of another underperforming goalie at even more money scares me a little

How does $6M worth of cap dumps, a 2024 1st, and a 2026 2nd get you Laughton when the Flyers turned down a 2023 1st and a 2023 2nd for Laughton? The Flyers have already turned down a better deal than this. I don’t expect an overpay or hate the Oilers you all just makes bad trades with no research done and expect people to not tell you they make no sense

Hmm I think maybe u should be pissed the flyers declined those offers cause they won’t get anything better than that and if you did any research then u would know foegle isn’t a cap dump lmao

I am pissed that he turned down that offer for Laughton and I agree he won’t get more for him but he clearly wants more so that’s on him not on home. Ur complaining to me (who doesn’t care about ur opinion at all) that I’m asking too much for Laughton lol I’m not the GM if you didn’t realize that. I’m just telling you Briere isn’t going to accept a worse offer for Laughton than he already declined. Even if you think Foegele isn’t a cap dump (he is), us taking on him cancels out the cap dump of Ceci so then it’s still a 1st and 2nd for Laughton in worse drafts than he already turned down. Get real.

Tbf he’s only 500k more but with cap strapped teams that’s a lot

Also I may be bais but binner is very good, (can get pissy) but that’s what happens when you have to face 40-50 shots a night while your team puts up 25 lmao

Dude was good last year aside from the occasional softie. Stats don’t tell the story with him

Because no one ever offered you that for Laughton but you are not intelligent enough to realize it.

It’s wild to me that people don’t understand it wasn’t a straight trade of Laughton for a 1st and a 2nd. In all reality judging by the reports of the Krug for Sanheim deal I’m assuming one relatively interesting conversation for both sides was Krug + 25/29 + 24 2nd for Sanheim and Laughton.

It’s not too terribly hard to connect the dots there, however, some seem to not be able to do so
