    Toews is most likely retiring

Canes decline, that's not enough for Pesce. You're short, but not miles away

Thoughts? I think I'm tired of seeing Scheifele to Boston deals

CHI won't be interested in Pionk, maybe someone else would at that price.

Toews should be getting 1-year deals until he convinces someone that he can play more than like 40 games. I don't think he can but I'd love to see him pull it off somewhere.

Not enough for the offer sheet.

    Too much for Toews.

The Jets aren't giving Pionk away for less than it costs to replace him.

Far too much for Pesce. He's a good player, but as a rental not worth close to that much.

Boston would not trade Carlo for Scheif straight up.

Carlo has an NTC. Never going to Winnipeg other than as a visitor anyway.

Can the rangers match without giving up a significant amount in a cap dump?

As a canes fan, what would you like to see added in the deal?

It's not a million miles away. Personally, maybe a 2nd on top of this. It's not far off, but it feels a little light for someone who has been one of the best defensive defensemen in the league for half a decade.

Funny enough, yes. It just means they have to send one of Jones or Gustafsson down, but they can match this and have a 22 man roster

Interesting, you make a valid point. I would add a third; gives the extra piece, but i think a second is too much. If the jets added a second, I wouldn't be surprised. They lack that top defensive dman and are asking demelo to be that.

At what salary can they no longer afford? ~4 mil? If I create a roster, they can get a max of 3.8 mil of room without trades. I feel the jets would pay whatever under 4.2 since it's the same compensation.

Issue is, they're going to get a 2nd buyout window because of Scanlin's arbitration, so even if you offer that, they can buyout Goodrow and they'll actually get cap credit for the next two years. You'd have to go over the 1st and 3rd compensation (6.1) to make it work I think
