Yes please from me as a CBJ fan, but 3 issues

Jarmo is hard for Laine and wouldn't ever move him
The value is off a fair bit imo
Every single time Jarvis has been included in a trade, Canes fans are (rightfully) adamantly against it, even in cases where the value is fair

Jarvis isn't a piece that is going to get moved unless it's a massive overpayment

What is this? Why are you paying to dump Skjei? He had 17 goals last year and has been excellent for Carolina, why are you treating him like a cap dump?

Don't hate the Laf offer sheet.

WAY too much for Laine. Drop Jarvis and its much closer for me, although you may need to add the Philly pick. Laine has that shot but his all around play has had him fall out with multiple coaches. Rod isn't going to have that situation, which means its a bad fit anyway.

Wut?

A. Skjei isn’t a dump
B. Laine isn’t worth moving Jarvis and turbo for. If columbus wants teuvo and a couple of futures for sure. With laine we will need more forwards who can actually play defense not subtract our two best in the same deal

TBH, I believe its worth it from Car's perspective. Laine, Aho and Jesse were one of the most dominant lines in WJC history. And Jarvis has good upside, but laine is much better. Teuvo is just a rental and the first isnt worth much given Car will likely be in round 2 or later.

That's funny about Skjei, I didn't know the guy went off this year. I figured with slavin and orlov now, they'd be wanting to dump him. My bad lol.

Jarvis put up better toals in his career than Laine has in the same time frame... why would Carolina do that? It just doesn't make sense

This is simply not true. Jarvis is ~0.5 PPG in his first 2 seasons. That is Laine's worst year. Jarvis has a long way to go to be even comparable to laine. He can certainly do it, but hasn't shown it yet.

Laine also hasn't played more than 50 games for 5 years, he's put up 50 points in each of the last 2 years on the top line of the Blue Jackets getting powerplay time. Jarvis, who is on the 2nd unit and rarely gets top line time, has put up 40 points... stop it. You cannot use points percentage for someone like Laine who is injury prone.

The claim of not playing 50 games for 5 years is false. Please fact check beforehand - kind of like how I thought Skjei was a bum without looking lol.

I did, please stop trying to nit pick when he's barely played in 55% of games.

Patrik Laine's games played percentage the last 5 years:

2018-19: 100%
2019-20: 96%
2020-21: 82%
2021-22: 68%
2022-23: 67%

Please stop. The fact we're even discussing how Seth Jarvis compares to Patrik Laine is comical.
