I like the idea. Boqvist will be only 23 next season and has pretty high potential. It's definitely a risk to see if he can come close to his ceiling, but he's still a solid player.

it's a risk indeed, but I would much rather bet on him than EK tbh

Is Columbus trying to move him? Seems like he has been developing. Not sure why they would rush this decision.

Well to me its more so they have a surplus of RHD with Severson, peeke, Boqvist, Jiricik and Gubranson. Hes the most expendbale to me has No one is touching gubranson and id keep Peeke over him, then the left side is also set with Werenski, Provorov and Bean

We need to move one of the RD. I think it's more likely to be Peeke, but Boqvist being moved wouldn't be a surprise at all. He'll bring a bigger return for sure. His ability to stay healthy is definitely a concern. If I'm being offered a 1st, especially from a team that's probably 50/50 for playoffs for him I'm absolutely taking it.

Peeke is older and better defensively but not the upside. I doubt any team is giving up a first for either but especially not Peeke. I also doubt CBJ wants to trade them in division either. Though this is a prime example of why giving lengthy contracts to career depth players (Rutta and Gudbranson) is so bad.
