I think it's probably okay to re-sign Malgin for 3rd line duty if he's playing with bangers like Wood and Colton

My thoughts, too. The pickens are gettin' slim and Malgin is a known commodity. Heinen would be awesome, but I don't think we can spend over 1 mill at this point if we want cap flexibility.

Colton's better as a wing and in TBL he was mostly their RW. One guy who could make a lot of sense for Avs is Pius Suter

Guy can play up and down the lineup from 2c to 4c is a good PKer and can give a team nice bottom 6 production

I'm hearing the wing thing from lots of TB fans, but our GM made it pretty clear he's playing center for us. I would LOVE Suter but I think this deal prices us out.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Lots of teams are out of money or roster space. he may be forced to take a discounted deal for this year.

I'll be surprised if any remaining UFA gets better than a 1x$2M. Most teams are running out of cap space and/or roster spots.

EDIT: Outside of Tarasenko, but I don't think he was ever an option for the Avs.
