    That was my predicted contract from earlier today :P Time will tell. Would be great if it was closer to 3 though, so we can run a 21 man to start.

    No - Each side picks a number and makes their claim as to why they should get that number. The arbiter can pick any number in between the 2.

    Nope if one side chooses $2,400,000 and the other chooses $4,800,000 they usually meet in the middle at $3,600,000.

    Leafs shouldn't be going with 6 Dmen, since they don't have any ready NHLer with the Marlies.

    I think that’s how they do it in baseball. Makes way more sense imo

    Would love to know what “injury” Murray has that has him on LTIR that hasn’t been reported anywhere that magically fixes the cap situation. I’m sure the NHL wouldn’t look into that at all lol

    Man, I still can’t believe TOR AGMs continue to not put some respekt on Timmins name….

    I personally think Timmins ceiling is higher than Liljegrens, just hasn’t been able to stay healthy. People forget that Timmins played significant minutes as Makars D partner on that 2018 WJC team and did so without hindering a highly skilled guy like Makar

    This. I know we're both Avs fans, but at no point has Timmins looked lost in the NHL. Guy just is unlucky with injuries. I hope the Avs jump to bring him back if he hits waivers. I'd MUCH prefer him over Dermy/JJ.

    Just to be clear, he doesn't have a spot on the Leafs because y'all are too close to the cap to have a 21st or 22nd man on your roster.

    And also this is personal bias but I never wanted to see timmins in a leafs jersey again after his stupid no-look spinorama pass against the bruins which led directly to a goal against. I have enough trauma from costly spinorama's from our defenseman

    He had the misfortune of being in the same draft class as Makar and was paired with him through most of his first pre-season. For real, that's why I think he pulls stuff like that. Lol.
