We already have Dostal, we don’t need a ‘2nd goalie’

How about Murray goes to to LTIR for that injury that he suffered in the playoffs this year? Saves the Leafs draft capital

The only injury Murray suffered in the playoffs was his bruised ego loosing the net in the playoffs to the third string goalie. He was considered healthy to play as of the end of the playoffs, that's why he was backing up Woll.

Samsonov was the one who got injured in the playoffs.

I think TS means when they trade Gibby. Dostal and Allen ig, but I'd think a goalie would be going back Anaheims way with that trade.

You are talking about when he was dealing with a concussion and hadn't played in 2 months and sat when the team was down 3 games to nothing? Yeah everything you are saying here is just trash. Murray could have played then but why would he? What an awful place to put him. If he wins great but if he shows and rust then he gets all the blame. No Woll had to play and played well. But let's just make up reasons to fuel your opinion instead of just observing reality.

The Leafs pull a Kucherov for Murray, saves them the need to buyout/pay for Murray's contract...

Because they def. aren't accepting this trade proposal

You can't put him on LTIR of he is cleared to play, at least Kucherov had a surgery he was recovering from, maybe they stretched it a week or two, but he had legitimate reason to be on LTIR for 90+ % of the season.

Murray's most recent status was cleared to play, so unless someone goes and Tonya Hardings him, he's not LTIR eligible.

at expense of the buyout, leafs may want to use as much cap as they please, therefore a dump. However, its unlikely that price. Mrazek was a 1st for a 2nd, this is a 1st for a 3rd, probably hinting at Murray's very injury prone life.

And Mrazek didn't have the same injuries issues? He was also terrible as well

    Murray:26gp .903% age current:29
    Mrazek:20gp .888% age at trade:30

very similar, but the goalie market is very different from last time around. Arizona, Chicago, Anaheim(sorta), San Jose, Montreal are all sorted for goalies.

Chicago played 6 new goalies to their team this year. Anyway, Leafs had the first buyout window for Murray, and obv didn't. So it'll be interesting.

No, Kucherov supposedly sustained another 'injury' near TDL declared by team doctors... Murray can easily do the same if necessary... Also, Kucherov was never on LTIR 90% of any season...

2020-2021 season, look it up. He missed the entire regular season recovering from surgery, then played in the playoffs. I couldn't remember the exact specifics but I recalled he missed at least 90% of the season, so I hedged my bet.

And again, that came after off-season surgery, so not applicable. You can't just LTIR people if you want them gone.

Injuries aren't regulated by the NHL though... So technically speaking, if someone is known to have injury history, your team's doctors can say he got a major injury

Cap circumvention is, which is apparently the point that you're not getting. But sure, lie to the league and hope they don't find out, great plan.

+.015% in 6 more games on an arguably better team isn't what I'd consider quite a bit, but I understand. These stats don't cover everything, and the eye test is ultra important. What these very simple stats do expose however, is a fundamentally terrible look on goaltending. Bad scouting, bad decision-making, bad everything on Dubas' part there. And sadly, it's a very similar looking trend carried over to Pittsburgh. I'm really comfortable sitting back and watching(revelling) in the slight chaos Treliving has imposed.
