Leafs know Nylander's value: he's the 5th best player on a good team, in the playoffs and in the RS. He shouldn't get more than Rielly and nor should Tavares and Marner as Rielly is more valuable to them than any of those 3...

Nylander got the same respect... He isn't better than 4 other guys on the Leafs... So the Leafs shouldn't offer him 8 mill-9.5 mill+ money unless it's an 8 year deal and max 10

He's not better offensively than the 4 guys ahead of him and he's a net negative on the defensive end... and he's the worst playoff performer... Where's the added value to Nylander? He's also not a centre or a defensemen

Leafs and Leafs fans know Nylander's value. As a result he isn't going to be traded this season as the the Leafs are in win mode..
Leafs won't have the cap to sign all their UFAs next season....so maybe Nylander won't be a Leaf next season, but that's the nature of free agency.
Certainly the Leafs aren't trading Nylander this season for lesser immediate value (as your trade proposed) or for a long term iffy contract (as your trade proposed)
