Description
Not sure what the value is on risto is. Would have to overpay for salary retention. He put up reasonable analytics on a terrible Philly team, on a good team could he get back to 40 points and stay positive on the +/-?

Somewhere in Philly a parade would be held.

Not sure why Bouchard would sign that contract though

It’s close to a few comparables and he has no arb rights. I could see him taking a team friendly deal and then making bank in two years

Yeah I had a feeling it was a pretty lopsided deal, but I figured I’d go against the grain and not have my favourite team win every trade handedly haha. Is risto still good or has his time passed? I haven’t watched him in quite some time

Ok, ok so after this move who's going to play defense for the Oilers exactly?

See my above post. Risto has never had a season of positive plus/minus (but does sport a gentleman's -41 from a few years back). He has painted himself as a defender who can't really defend and also has hands of stone. But if you're looking for the king of whispy beards, do I have great news for you.

Yeah his +/- is….questionable at best. Although it seems like he’s always been on bad teams, unless the sabres were better than I remember them being when he played there. His analytics weren’t as bad as I expected for being on Philly so I thought mayyyyybe there’s still a player there

His whispy beard and nuges teenager-stache is exactly what this team needs to finally take the next step

True he has always been on underachieving teams, but I don't know that he is a solution for Edmonton on the back end. Ceci is BY far the better choice here.

Appreciate it! It’s hilarious how quickly a thread will go to **** with super childish insults here.

This place should be for good chirps and for people to learn more about the league/players imo

Ceci would be a better option for you. Risto is an enigma to me, he shows flashes of skill and then proceeds to revert back to stone in seconds. Some think on a good team he could be good, and he's that perfect tough guy for a bottom pair playoff team, but it would be better for the Oilers who from whay I see already have flimsy defense to not pursue it.
