I'm sure Detroit and Pittsburgh take that. That Boston trade is something else though. I think you greatly over value the Sharks in that trade or under value the Bruins in that trade.

such an easy no for the Bruins on that trade.

Take out Lysell, Swayman, and 1st, Boston still declines, they just don’t laugh hysterically while doing it.

That would be a no for the Hawks, they have enough veteran D; Jones, Murphy, Tinordi, Zaitsev; and need to keep space for young players to show if they are NHL caliber.

Guys like Vlasic, Philips, Roos and maybe even Kaiser need the opportunity to show if they can compete at the NHL level.

If they do decide to add more veteran depth on the backend look for it to be a righty, that is what Davidson has said he may target. Even then, don’t look for them to trade for it unless they are being rewarded for taking a cap dump, there is a greater chance any additions now would be late FA signings or waiver wire pickups.

LHD is the strongest pool of prospects for the Hawks, zero chance they add a LHD guy

So is Coyle or Zacha your 1C? Couture is easily the best of the three

Time will tell. We’ll see if they make a move. Otherwise it will be Zacha.

Logan is certainly the best of 3.

Easily? Debatable.

Zacha had 48 5x5 points to Logans 46 with less ice time and 8 years younger.

What Logan does not do is fit what they are looking for. He’s a band-aid, they need a solution. No interest in that contract at his age, even with retention.

No need for Hawks to decline, because Boston doesn't make that deal to begin with.

Couture wouldn't have gotten this return 5 years ago and he's sure as hell not gonna get in at age 34

Yeah. Coyle or Zacha is our 1C. It's gonna suck but it sucks WAY less than paying for a 34 year old Couture as if he is an superstar, which he never was even in his prime

That or the Bruins offer pieces like this for a player who is actually a good solution, unlike Couture
