3 years ago Brodie was better than Zadorov, now is questionable at best. And no Lijlegren is not better, he’s a classic case of Leafs fans/media massively overvaluing their players

tbf brodie was great for the regular season but clearly looked lost during the florida series. kinda hard to evaluate him tbh and i rather wait till trade deadline to decide whether he's good or not

we can argue all we want about slavin being underrated or nylander being underrated but long story short, slavin isnt going anywhere

he is carolina's top dman after all

Definitely. I said he's a top 5 D man, I know some have him just outside that but still in the top 10. Whatever happens, he's got more value than a rental winger as one of the best D Men in hockey

Whose up at the end of the year, cannot drive his own line, and has star players around him that inflate totals... stop it

So he's not good because he's 29? God, Morgan Rielly better retire soon, since he and Slavin are from the same draft! Stop it. If you've ever watched Slavin, you know he's HANDS DOWN the best DFD in the NHL. It's not close, there's no competition or debate. You lost all credibility trying to argue this. Slavin gets Norris votes annually because of how good he is defensively, but he'll never win it because he doesn't score. Slavin is a top 5 D man in the NHL. Nylander doesn't come close to that sort of value

did you just say nylander doesnt drive his own line? this is how i know you dont have any grasp on the player. I never said slavin was a top 5 DFD, you just suggested youd decline a matthews deal for him when matthews is a top 3 player in the league. Nylander is one of the best play drivers in the league lmfao, hes one of those players who can create a play out of absolutely nothing, even u could do the bare minimum and watch a highlight reel

I suggest you reread what I said. I said *maybe* if Matthews was in the deal and Slavin was in a package, I'd do it, but I'd still hesitate because Matthews has one year remaining on his deal. No point moving a top 5 D in the league for 1 year of the what 4th best C? I'm not putting him over MacKinnon or Draisaitl after last year which was down by Matthews standards.

You really called Nylander a play driver? Really... you want to see a play driver, go look at McDavid's offensive analytics. Or even Pastrnaks. Nylander can't do that. He's great at what he does, but driving play ain''t his thing.

brother, nylander is a better play driver than pastrnak😭 i think youre confused at what play driving means. So essentially youre saying, if you arent mcdavid, you dont drive play. Insane logic brother, i think youre onto something here

Why would CGY want Brodie back?

And that PHI deal is pretty bad. Liljegren and robertson are BOTH probably at their all time lowest value and maybe just worth the 2 yrs of 2.75 retention, (robertson probably isn;t in PHI's top 8 forward prospects), so you're probably adding a top 2 prospect from your system (Niemala, Hirvonen) and maybe even another good pick

No, you can drive a line if you're not McDavid. Nylander doesn't do it. Matthews does it. Maybe you're confused as to what play driving means? Cause Nylander sure as hell ain't a better play driver than Pasta, that is a take that deserves to have you in an asylum. Honestly, stop

pastrnak is a better finisher, nylander is better at setting his linemates up and getting the puck from the neutral zone to the ozone/high danger areas. brother you can look at free public models
