Jeff Carter says no.

Think the only way detroit takes petry is if there is Retention or cap coming back or a 1st which isn't happening lol

You finally realized Petry isn't coming to Detroit.

i've never assumed he was going to detroit for free from the penguins perspective lol. I do still think it's a possible landing spot IF an EK deal is happening and the details can be worked out. I do however think a 2nd and 3rd going to detroit with Petry is plenty, but the cap has to work so i'd probably figure out hot to retain 1.5 and drop the 3rd.

If Yzerman wanted Petry he never would have made it to Pittsburgh and you'd still have Matheson.

That's such a lazy response lol. Things happen from season to season. Montreal could've asked for a package last summer that Yzerman didn't want to pay. The Penguins could offer a package this summer the Yzerman wants to take.
Yzerman could've also never called Montreal last year thinking he wasn't an option. There are quite literally hundreds of options and reasons here but to say "if he wanted him last season he'd be here already" is lazy as all get out lmao

But it's true and it isn't as lazy as Petry to Detroit.

do you know for fact Yzerman didn't want him last year? Do you have physical evidence? Do you know that he doesn't want him now?

Of course you don't cause this is purely for speculation and using a platform to determine player and asset movements.

So ya, lazy response from you.

Detroit isn't taking on 12.5 million in cap for only a 2nd and a 3rd round pick. We already have a full roster on defense and don't need him.

If you want to offer Chiarot for Petry straight up then we can have a discussion.

Do you have physical evidence he wants him? Because as you said he didn't want him last year, so we would still be on doesn't want him until there is something to say otherwise. Last there were a group a Montreal just wouldn't stop several times a day with the same stupid Petry trades. It was so bad other Montreal fans were apologizing for their fellow fans. The Pittsburgh fans who keep post the same Petry trades have been there for a few weeks now but with out the apologies I guess the Montreal fans just have more class.
