Trading Andersson would be extremely stupid

Or Dumba as a UFA for a year or two so you don’t have to give anything up

I get why Sabres fans don't want to move any of their prospects, but look at your depth charts you just don't have enough roster spots for all these upcoming players.

That’s greatly undervaluing Andersson. I’d want Quinn, 2024 1st, and then another good prospect

That's less then I asked for.

I guess in my head I value Quinn much higher than any of the pieces in your trade. I see Quinn as an “A” piece whereas you’re asking for a lot of “B” pieces. Realistically, Andersson isn’t available unless he’s somehow part of a package for a legit superstar

I think u have the wrong impression here
Sabres fans actually are willing to move prospects
We WANT to, in fact

BUT

In trades that make sense
For example:
Even though you’re asking A LOT for Andersson, that’s a guy who would make sense for us

The problem we have is when we see IDIOTIC trades
Like a recent one (from a Flames fan too), example:
Krebs & a 2nd for Backlund

Or Krebs + other pieces for Hanifin

And so on, and so on

So it’s not that we don’t wanna trade our prospects,
we just want the deals to MAKE SENSE

And yes, like any fan base, we have our favorite prospects who we don’t wanna trade & other prospects who we’d be more apt to part with
I think that’s normal though

At this point, with Dumba not being signed yet,
(Why is that btw?)
I’d be totally ok if we took a run at him

A year or 2, for something like $4mil per ?

I've got 3 recent first round picks, and a guy who was a steal in the 4th round. Everyone over values first round picks, the majority of them become guys like Krebs and Jokiharuj. Chances are the Sabres first falls in the 16-20 range, so that's not likely bringing back a star.

Quinn is pretty much untouchable
But i don’t see us moving Krebs either
Ppl who think he’s entering “bust” territory CLEARLY don’t watch him play & don’t understand how we’ve been using him in a heavily defensive role- playing against other teams’ too lines nightly

Sabres fans (in general) are pretty happy with his development
And as other young guys for us develop their defensive games a bit more, he’ll get more freedom to focus a bit more on offense

I really like Ostlund, and yeah looking at the depth charts a right D is the only thing they need other then a goalie. But they only need a 1A/1B goalie with like 1 year left because they don't want to block Levi.

I think he might be looking for term and no one wants to give it to him.

It's not the fans, its the GM. Absolutely refuses to make any trades with any sort of risk/reward profile.

Too many teams are up against cap or over. I think he is waiting it out. I can see Buffalo waiting on Carolina Decision with Pesce before making a stab at Dumba. Or Dumba could be a hush hush and already be linked to a Lou Lamarilo type move that is just waiting to be announced

I can see the fit in Buffalo but they'd have to trade a few defenseman away to make it work.
