I'd keep Bennett between the tkachuks. That would be a tough line to play against.

The proposed deal isn't bad at all but would need a reason to move the captain and face of the franchise

Obviously that’s horrible for Washington and they aren’t going to do it. They’ll get much better offers if they’re willing to retain for two years. The Capitals don’t need cap space, they need a Top 6 Center. Fortunately for them Kuznetsov is a Top 6 Center. If this is the offer the Caps keep Kuznetsov, easily.

But he has sam bennett and viktor arvidsson on the first line, at least put matthew tkachuk on the 1st line
