Well if Bertuzzi spends half the season on the LTIR like he normally does, that cap space brings up the depth players.

Jankrok is better than Laffy and Timmins is over rated/paid.

I wouldn't freely give away Jankrok, but Laffy (Robertson, Abruzzese, Steeves) and Timmins (I wants the Leafs to sign Foote for around 900k or get Logan Stanley from Winnipeg to be the 7th Dman) are replaceable.

True, but since the previous Leaf GM (no names) traded away 20+ Draft picks in his 6 years working here, I'd like to re stock the cupboard and hope a team offers a 4th Rd pick at least, to jump the waiver wire line, to get Laffy.

Sorry to say, but your new GM loves to trade away Draft picks, so it's going to get even worse, Dubas got lucky walking into Toronto who already Drafted, Reilly, Nylander, Liljgren, Matthews, Marner, C. Brown and Woll before he was named GM.

Rutherford traded everything that could be moved. Hextall traded everything good+ a 2nd for everything bad who was over 30. Last year was our first 1st Rd pick since Derrick Pouliot and he SUCKED!! We're used to it. Haha

Want all the Leaf Dmen in bubble wrap, if one gets hurt. Last year the Leafs had lots of injury to their Dmen, but somehow managed as some "iffy" NHL calibre Marlies did step up short term.
But three of those Marlies Dmen left for other teams this season.
What happens to the Leaf cap if Murray at some time is deemed medically fit to return to play and gets taken off LTIR....Yikes.

Timmins is only a Maple Leaf because Dubas has a hard on for his ex Jr Soo Greyhound players.

Mac Hollowell is another, doesn't make either of them 7th Nhl Dman worthy.

Hollowell, Mete and Kral all signed with other teams this summer.....Making the NHL capable (if only temporary) even weaker this summer.

All those guys aren't clearing waivers.
