Yes because 83K is enough for a call up in case of injury you really got me there bud

Edmonton started last season with a 21 man roster, no reason they can't do it again. They like to double shift McDavid and Draisaitl, so they often play with just 11 forwards anyhow.

Vegas started with a 20 man roster last year IIRC.

The point is, they have plenty of cap space to give Bouchard the contract he is owed.

Yes they can sign him and be cap compliant..... I am just saying as with the past what like ever since McDavid has been in Edmonton the issue with the team will remain the same Goaltending and Depth..... which with 83K depth isn't going to get better

Depth isn't about AHL replacements though, it's about how your 3rd and 4th lines perform. Edmonton had among the best depth in the league last season and project similarly this year.

Go back to the very top and READ the proposed trades; Hawks fans have been responding about a proposed Petry trade to Chicago and why that proposal as constructed wouldn’t work for the Hawks… again comprehension buddy.

How ironic is it that a Penguins fan is chirping that the entire city of Chicago forgot they had a team. Seems to me there is a certain team from Pennsylvania that was on the brink of collapse and was being rumoured to be sold/moved to Hamilton until fortuitous circumstances landed Lemieux and then Crosby in their laps. Maybe it’s only us old timers remember those days.

What’s ironic is a Hawks fan attempting, however feebly, to explain a rebuilding process to a fanbase that’s actually watched it multiple times. By the time you saw your first Hawks game they already had Toews and Kane, lol. Just say, “thanks Rocky!” and stop pretending you knew anything about this sport before 2007. And it wasn’t Hamilton, old timer, it was Kansas City. 🤣

HUH???? after Hyman's 83 points the next biggest point total was Barrie's 43 and he's no longer on the team after that its Bouchard's 40 and after that its high 20's and lower, so how is that good depth when your 6th best scorer is 60 points below your 4th best scorer? Like sure they were better defensively, but if one of McDavid or Draisaitl got injured Edmonton would be cooked...... to me that's not good depth. Good depth is when one of your top guys go down the teams able to hold the fort until they come back.

Edmonton had 13 players score at least 10 goals. No other team in the league had more.

At 5v5, they had 5 players score at 1st line rates (minimum 500 minutes) and 3 more at high 2nd line rates. That's scoring depth.

I'm not saying that they haven't attempted to improve on their issues, but if McDavid or Draisaitl miss significant time to an injury Edmonton is cooked because 4 of those 13 have inflated numbers due to playing with 97 and 29, 3 of those 10+ goal scorers are no longer on the team, and the remaining 4 wouldn't put up 10+ goals if they had to play up and replace 97 or 29. Its improved, but its still missing that solid 3rd line guy that can step in and play top 6 minutes when called upon that most winning teams have in their lineup.

😂 I’m actually not from Chicago, I’m from Canada where the game pumps through our blood from the moment we take our first breath. For the record I have been watching and cheering for the Hawks dating back to days of Stan Mikita, Bobby Hull and Tony O.

Oh and by the way the rumours back in 2006 had the Penguins going to multiple destinations which included both Hamilton and Kansas City but also Kitchener-Waterloo, I chose to mention only one. Funny thing is you trash Chicago as a hockey market but it’s Pittsburgh that has the fair weather fans that only came around when they started winning. You couldn’t even counter that point, you could only point out that there were other potential destinations then the one I chose to mention. 😂

The Blackhawks have been around for almost 100 years and are going strong, let’s see what happens in Pittsburgh when the senior citizens pack it in and they get back to their losing ways… what do you think 5? 10 years before they end up in Hamilton, KC, Kitchener, Houston?

You should just give up, you’re 0 forever on this thread. 😂
