If you were Anaheim, surely you wouldn't do this, no? Trading the charismatic, ultra-skilled, YOUNG current face of your franchise for a low first, a 27/28 year old elite (I'll give Willie that...) player that has maybe 4-5 years left in his prime and is demanding a huge extension, a defenseman who has a year left on his contract and is in decline, and a mediocre prospect who has yet to show he can stay healthy or perform consistently in the NHL?
It doesn't make any sense for them. I actually don't know if Toronto could offer really anything that would make sense for Anaheim for Zegras given their window and build timeline...
