Description
Vegas trade would have to be something that was discussed prior to the draft. There were rumors that TVR & Kruger were going to be some sort of package deal. Waiting to trade Kruger to Vegas allows Vegas to save $2M and makes Kruger worth 1.8875M salary per season. We shall see what happens.

Blackhawks NEED another somewhat proven capable D-man and I think Merril fits that. His shutdown capabilities will help ease the Hammer-Murphy trade and the loss of TVR.

The Gagner signing seems reasonable to me. Rumor is both parties have interest in each other. For a player that signed at league minimum last season this seems like a solid deal for both parties. What are your thoughts?

Still waiting for the NHL official ruling on Demi-God but its hard to think they can rule any different than the Pronger case. I think that its obvious Hossa can still play (26 goals last season) and wants to still play. He isn't the type of person to cop out just because the Hawks want him to.

For the lines I can see DeBrincat getting a shot right out of camp atleast to start. If he stays or not is a question. Never the less:
Schmaltz plays one of 3 positions 2LW 3LW or 3C
DeBrincat plays either 2LW 3LW
Gagner plays either 2C 3C
AA plays either 2LW or 2C
Shuffle those however you think. I think the Saad - Toews - Panik line is pretty much a set as the PAK line was the last 2 years. Hopefully they are reminiscent of the Saad - Toews - Hossa line of 2013-2015
4th line is a bunch of big bodies with some skill. I see Dolphin getting some opportunities. I think he is Bowman's idea for a Kruger replacement.

Are you a fan of Dauphin over Kero? Or Kero over Dauphin? It sound like Kero > Dauphin, but you list off all the reasons Dauphin should be there. Dauphin is younger. Kero's NOT a speedster, and supposedly Dauphin is pretty darn good defensively. Don't get me wrong, I do like Kero!

Yeah I really don't get where he is coming from. Kero is 25 and Dauphin is 22. Kero is in no way fast, and none of us have probably ever seen Dauphin on the ice. The scouting reports I've read all say his best asset is his stride and speed. He is also projected as a 3C for his great 2-way play and is supposed to be a great penalty killer. Before you make comments like this do your research, bud.

I like Kero and see him being a regular this season but this guy was involved in the Hammer trade for a reason.

I like this and it seems within reach. What would it take to pry Colin Miller from Vegas? I'm pro-DeBrincat. Worried Q will do a number on him. Don't put him on the 4th please. Le Dauphin sounds good.

I would take Collin Miller but I have a feeling he is part of Vegas's plans moving forward. If he wasn't too expensive I'd take him.

I think you are right on Miller. He may be worth trying to get though. Up the ante a bit perhaps? Fortin? Forsling?
