Even if the Kings had the cap space to do that trade, that's a very hard no.

Ridiculous offer for Siegenthaler. Why would the Devils sell their top pair LD on a great contract for a bottom six forward and an RD due for an expensive new deal? Hard pass

We’d be stupid to not take a 1st rounder for two 4th liners, even with how well Joshua played

Lets be real. Its not gonna happen. Both players will have better years.Joshua is one of our coaches favorite and Aman has good upside. How does a first two years from now help us today?Imho

We got Hronek for a first and a second. Use that first and try to acquire someone. Ideally a 3C or a D man

Its a 2026 first thats two years from now.Keeping two hard to play against power forwards that are hard to replace is more important for the teams development and step forward in a win now plan. In my opinion.

You can easily replace Joshua and Aman, internally Canucks have Di Giuseppe, or there’s still plentiful of options in FA like Suter and Comtois. They’d be stupid to not acquire a first to upgrade at more premium positions for 2 4th line grinders.

My opinion is still the same. Both players are good hard to play against with some pretty good upside. Why trade two good players for a first Two years from now.Our G.M. Clearly stated they want to win now.

Kings aren't trading Byfield (they traded Vilardi instead, remember?) and New Jersey certainly isn't trading Siegenthaler for depth pieces.

Dude it's a first round pick for two guys with a combined 48 career points, are these two fourth liners that important to a team that finished 22nd last year?

This is the best thread ever.

Canucks fans realizing their own are incompetent.

One NJ fan saying Lili is so good he's gonna need to big of a contract while another calls him "depth piece".

Puts all of this in perspective lol. You should all try logging off for a few days.

2 points:

1. I work in the league.
2. Check my "predictions" and see how many have been right.

I was crucified for saying Karlsson would return nothing (spoiler he did). I was crucified for saying Sandin and Liligren would fetch a 1st+ (spoiler Sandin did and Lili would). I was crucified for saying Dubois would get Vilardi+ (Spoiler he did).

Yes I joke around a bit and poke the bear but when I say that Brodie would fetch a good return it's cause I've seen the analytics teams pay $100k+ for and they show him as the top defensive D in the league. Every public model also has him top 3 so when you guys say he is worthless it's just funny to me as someone with more knowledge.

Like Seeler for Timmins gets zero backlash here. Did you know most analytics systems have Seeler ranked as the 8th best Defensive D in the league? Mark my words if he doesnt move this summer and has a good year he will be that guy nobody knows about going for a 2nd/3rd at the deadline.

Timmins also has decent value, biggest problem with him is waiver status.

Sillinger has almost no value cause he loses his waivers exemption soon so teams need to know he can crack a top 6.

Lots of stuff I know that you don't.

They could immediately trade that 1st round pick into a better player. Literally like they did with Horvat. Traded for a 1st and used that for Hronek… Joshua is great, but you don’t turn down a first round pick for him
