Most of these are pretty decent, but some are very questionable... Barkov > Hischier... Palat > Noesen ... Slavin >>>> Siegenthaler ??????.... Hague >> Bahl ? ... and a couple others id personally change but matter of personal preference.

I feel like there's sort of a rivalry between the Devils and Sens fans about who's better Hughes or Stutzle. But I also think both fanbases are getting to the point where we're just like these are two very similar players and both are incredible, no point trying to decide who's better.

Did you just try to use Slavin as a Siegenthaler comparable? Some of these are really accurate. Stutzle for Hughes, Barkov and Hischier, Jarvis and Mercer... Slavin and Siegenthaler... no. Slavin absolutely mops the floor with Siegenthaler... Pelech would have been a better comparable for my money

I think Barkov and Hischier is pretty close. Hischier will forward get undervalued on CF. I think Noesen is a bit underrated, but maybe that one is a leap. Siegenthaler is basically Slavin a few years ago. Bahl Hague…both big young 3LD.

Who would you replace for those guys?

Hughes is better. Shouldn’t be any debate.

Well let's look at what they did during their entry level deals...
Hughes had 44 goals and 108 points during his 166 games played which = .65 pts per game
Stützle had 73 goals and 177 points during his 210 games played which = .84 pts per game
Huh. I guess it's actually Stützle that's better. Imagine that...

Hughes D+1: 7g, 14a, 21pts = TOTAL BUST

Every team has a player they compare to Hughes. Every single team. And its always the same thing...fans will always use Hughes first season to basically say he is not that good. It's as dumb now as it was then.

Stutzle - Hughes is about as close as anyone can get. Similar play styles, both players have great shots, deceptively shifty and can thread the needle. Great edges and drive offense. I’d say Hughes is better at the moment, but it’s probably closer than many think. Also it’s obviously not a perfect comparison, Hughes is likely a bit better offensively than Stutzle and a bit better as a playmaker, and Stutzle is slightly better defensively and more physical. But about as close as you can get other than cloning a player lol

Look at their point per game averages year over year, Hughes only looks better because he's a year older.

Stutzle has better points per game in years one and two, and they're tied in year three.

Siegenthaler is not close to slavin offensively a few years ago. Defensively sure

A better comparable for siegenthaler is Brandon Carlo

Siegenthaler and Carlo have very different games. And the former is a lot better defensively. Jonas excels in open ice, is one of best in NHL in neutral zone and in d-zone denials. Carlo is more of a stay-at-home defender who is better around boards. Siegs is lefty, Carlo a righty.

They are similar in that they are one dimensional defensive defenseman who don’t excel in transition. Slavin is elite in transition and also an elite passer.

Stutzle misses less games too. Staying healthy adds value to a player.

Okay, but my comparison is legit fair. And FYI, I'm aware Hughes and Stutzle are very much equals, my reply was to someone claiming Hughes was clearly better.
