Defense too small. No reason to move Podkolzin.

That would be a smart trade for Ottawa (and Vancouver I guess) but Sens can't afford the cap hit.

even next year?

Damn, forgot to check the year again

Well, I don't think Thomson will still be there. He will probably be dealt for a young forward prospect (or pick) before he has to hit waivers, or be part in a trade

Hard to say if Joseph will still be there. Sens will probably have to trade him or Kubalik

By the way, did you know that Brannstrom can play RHD and if I'm not mistaken like it more on that side but Dorion and DJ Smith were against it for technical reasons.

He would be a really smart pickup. A guy like Hoglander would be maybe of interest

As for interest in Garland, hard to say. 7 guys will be there for sure (Stutzle, Tkachuk, Norris, Batherson, Giroux, Greig, Pinto) but hard to know now what will happen with the 2 W spots left. Tarasenko and/or Kubalik could be back. Ostapchuk, Pettersson or Jarventie could make the team. They will certainly look at the UFA market too. And yeah, Brannstrom should be traded for a 2-way young top-9 forward so that'd be another spot taken.
