how is Chabot in hm and Hughes isn't in top ten

Quinn Hughes should be right next to Dahlin

Hughes is much better defensively than Karlsson. He also has better defensive metrics than Dahlin

Did you even look up the stats? Dahlin played significantly harder minutes than Hughes, who was sheltered by comp and by zone starts. And Dahlin's results in those minutes v Elites were far above Hughes'. Oh, and he outscored Hughes at 5v5.

I don't have Hughes in my top-10 either.

You do know Hughes had a lower Offensive Zone Start % and higher Defensive Zone Start % than Dahlin right? You also know Hughes had much worse defense partners right?

Per Evolving Hockey, in each of the last 4 seasons Hughes has a higher GAR, WAR, and SPAR than Dahlin. And last year was the only season of their careers that Dahlin had better defensive metrics than Hughes according to Evolving Hockey

According to the Atlantic, Hughes had better defensive metrics this season and in 2021/22, while Dahlin had better defensive metrics in 2020/21 and 2019/20. Hughes has a higher GSVA in each of the last 4 seasons though

Hughes has more points in less career games and has been better defensively than Dahlin. If you don’t have Hughes in your top 10 how can you have Dahlin?

Karlsson had most of his points at even strength unlike Hughes he also is able to single handily takeover a game hughes has 26 career goals karlsson scored that many last year

You know, I think Mike Smith is a better goalie all time than Henrik Lundqvist and Roberto Luongo because he scored 1 career goal while those two couldn’t even score 1 their whole career

Quinn Hughes has managed to always find a way to be more productive then Rasmus Dahlin, every single year. Quinn Hughes also has great defensive statistics, better then Dahlins were. I understand taking Dahlin over him but they're very close and Hughes is definitely better then Ekblad
