5 reasons why Giroux would be a better LW for Tarasenko than Batherson

Description
The Hockey News came out with a new article written by Steve Warne titled, "Batherson Willing to Switch to Left Wing to Accommodate Tarasenko".

Here are 5 reasons why I think Giroux would be a better LW for Tarasenko than Batherson:

1. Giroux has a history of playing LW when he was with the Flyers.

2. During the 2017-2018 season, he played LW on a line with Sean Couturier at C and Jakub Voracek at RW.

Giroux would hit 100 points that year.

3. Batherson has never played LW before.

4. Giroux is a lot better defensively than both Batherson and Tarasenko.

Playing two RWs who are bad defensively on the same line together could turn into a complete and total disaster.

5. The Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson line had a lot of chemistry during the early stages of the rebuild and IMO it should be revisited.

It should be :
Tkachuk-Stutzle-Tarasenko
Giroux-Norris-Batherson

Giroux has played LW before and will help take the faceoffs from Norris whose shoulder injury requires him not to take faceoffs. Also Batherson will be sheltered with the Sens 2 best defensive forwards

Giroux makes more sense on the left wing than Batherson would, agreed completely!

either mix works, personally id love to revisit that tkachuk norris batherson line, I feel stu and G had a bit more chemistry imo. but either way, pretty exciting problem to have lol

They should just reunite the Tkachuk Norris Batherson line then put Tank with Giroux and Stutzle

Honestly, as long as Stu and Tank or on the same line I think anyone can play LW there. Both Stu and Tank love to have the puck a lot and drive lines. The best-case scenario and dream for me would be Kubalik comes in strong to camp and you put him with Stu and Tank.

This allows Giroux to play with Grieg and Pinto helping mentor them and adding a real secondary scoring threat for the sens. I could see Pinto or Grieg getting 15-20 goals next season playing with Giroux.

Solid points sensonfire

I have followed Batherson since the Q and I don't remember him playing LW ever

Batherson and Tarasenko on the same line is a RECIPE for disaster. DeBrincat is a lot better defensively than Tarasenko and let's say that line didn't do well

Norris would help them tremendously but the guy is coming back from a whole season missed... and maybe not even the first few games. Great way to put a lot of pressure on him right away. Genius even.

Only DJ Dorion could manufacture those stupid ideas. Sometimes it feels like these guys don't understand hockey lol, or at least the defensive part of it.

It's certainly worth a long look. I'm sure they will work out all of that in camp, though.
