LA doesn’t need a 4th backup goalie and especially with that cap hit.

I think you're moving Allen and Armia at a total loss, you're not getting any picks back in exchange, because neither are getting better and are poor now.

Savard 2 yrs older probably doesn;t get that package of picks back and Hart will be either worth a lot more or a lot less based on his performance this year

But Gallagher on 2nd line, Klingberg, Roslovic? I dont think you'll want any of those players in 24-25 (and not at those prices)

Armia has less than zero value and it would probably cost a 2nd to dump him, with nothing going back to MTL.

Chicago declines both of those deals, neither player brings anything the Hawks are lacking. Both would pencil in as bottom six forwards and currently Chicago has at least nine forwards competing for those six spots. To give up draft capital to acquire redundant players when the Hawks are also rebuilding just doesn’t make sense.

Hawks decline both of those deals and counter with Dvorak (no retention), Armia and Montreal's '25 and '26 2nd rounders for future considerations.

I definitely think you are on the right track, but honestly that may not be enough. Combined the Hawks would be taking on $7.9m in cap hits for the next two seasons and paying out $20.1m in actual $$. Add in the fact that Armia brings absolutely no value; he has 42 points over the last three seasons combined… 42! for a $3.4m player!

Capfriendly put out a tweet about a week and a half ago stating that $5m seemed to be the threshold for a 1st round picks in cap dumps. To me that would mean at least a 1st + would be required to move both those players as a package.

It's only one year. This is a 24/25 season ACGM. Two 2nd's seems about right to me.
