Yikes, don't see any team wanting seven years of Miller

He'll still be an elite center for the majority of that contract, which aligns with the Leafs window. His value will exceed that cap hit for multiple years at least.

Canucks already have too many wingers and moving Miller would mean their C depth behind Pettersson is Suter, Blueger, Aman, and Raty, none of whom are a viable 2C option for this season

They're likely going to trade Boeser and/or garland, beyond them their winger depth is incredibly thin. They should be focused on the future instead of remaining mediocre in the present as they usually are. Raty and Pettersson are likely their top 2 centers long term, and vancouver local Fraser Minten projects as a middle 6 winger with upside.

VAN decline.

I don't know about that, there was quite a bit of drama surrounding Miller this year...

id do this as a Canuck fan idk why everyone is saying the Canucks should pass, if we can re-sign Nylander below 10 million then we could target a 2c via the draft or we could grab one in ufa but honestly for the mean time we could slide Nylander in the 2c spot I think at this stage in his career he could handle that responsibility.

Thanks for this, figured it would make sense for both teams and wanted to be as fair as possible

Why not? You know he has good chemistry with Pettersson playing on the same line internationally. There seemed to be a dark cloud surrounding Miller in VAN this year and you have Petterson and Raty as your top 2 centers for the distant future, with Minten as a good bet for at least 3C (he's from vancouver as well). You're wings are going to look pretty weak very soon and Miller is 3 years older than Willy, meaning Willy would fit your window much better.

Miller still has good chemistry with Pettersson, our wings are abouslety fine, Kuzmenko Boeser Garland are all top 6 wingers that will be here long term, in the pipe line we have Hoglander, Podkolzin and lekkerimäki with all Potential to be top 6 wingers in the future. Even if Nylander re-signed at 8.5 per year we'd still have over 25 mill locked up in 4 wingers adding mikheyev to that list takes it closer to 30 mil which leaves us with no money to sign/trade for another 2c because as nice as Räty is he's still a few years out which is problematic because management views this roster as a playoff roster trading Miller isn't align with that vision, the only benefit from Trading Miller for Nylander is Nylander is slightly younger than JT how ever it's not enough of a gap for us to downgrade at C to upgrade on the wing, as said before there hasn't been a dark cloud over Miller last year, if the Canucks wanted to trade Miller they would have done it a few deadlines ago, as is the Canucks simply don't need anymore wingers this trade just doesn't fit any of our needs,

Canucks dont need nor can afford Nylander.

Not sure why you have them giving up Lafferty for basically nothing....yet then picking up Seeler for 3 picks...when he is a waiver wire pick up/bottom pairing dman at best.

Leafs could use a dman like Zadorov (shouldve kept Schenn). Brodie is the likely fall guy to get the Leafs cap compliant, where he ends up is the question.
