Canucks would be foolish to decline this. Getting easily the best player in the trade. And while I really like Joshua on the 4th line, it wouldn’t be worth saying no to this deal just to keep him

I agree value wise, but in my opinion the last thing Vancouver needs is to replace Boeser with a more expensive even softer winger.

Boeser is slow, horrifying defensively and not as good offensively as Nylander. Nylander is by far better in everyway than Boeser. Replacing Boeser with Robertson is probably a net gain by Vancouver. Robertson can at least skate. TO couldn't decline this hard enough.

Leafs are infinitely better having one year of Nylander, and then cap space than two years of Boesner.

I think you should retitle this, "I just want to see the Leafs lose a Nylander trade by a truly outstanding margin"

I never said Toronto should make the trade, but Nylander is just as bad defensively, and arguably the softest player in the whole league. As far as you thinking Robertson is an upgrade over Boeser you need to stop smoking glue, Robertson can’t even crack an nhl lineup he wouldn’t even beat Dakota Joshua for a spot in the lineup in Vancouver.

You get Nylander for a cap dump and a 4th liner

Okay you have a lot wrong here.

Nylander isn't terrible defensively, he's average. Definitely far better than Boeser who is too slow to get anywhere on the ice on time.

Nylander is also significantly better offensively than Boeser.

Nowhere did I say Robertson is an upgrade but Vancouver needs to get rid of Boeser because their cap is a mess and Robertson making an ELC is better value than Boeser.

And Robertson did play on a team that was good and had trouble staying in the lineup. Your 4th liners would have trouble making the Marlies.

Oh yeah and the softest player in the league? Pretty hard to be that when you score more goals within 10 feet of the net than almost anyone else. Guess what, that's an actually stat. Willy goes to the hard places as much as anyone. He doesn't hit, but he doesn't have to.

Boeser isn’t as bad defensively as you seem to think he is, obviously he’s never gonna come close to winnng a selke or anything like that but he’s not useless. No one ever said Nylander isn’t gifted offensively. Robertson has had how many years of chances to stick and simply can’t. There’s a realistic chance Vancouver could have Pearson and one of Hoglander or podkolzin as 4th line wingers but sure those guys can’t make the marlies when in reality they’d all probably be in the leafs top 9

It doesn't suck for Vancouver though, it's brutal for TO but a huge win for Vancouver. You guys that hate TO more than you like the Canucks are the best. Just crazy

Boeser absolutely sucks defensively. He's abysmal and it's because he doesn't care and is too slow to do anything anyways. Boeser sucks so so badly.

Boeser sucks so badly defensively sure. Not because he doesn't care, its more physical limitations. Interesting how you can be right, but for all the wrong reasons

He's always been 1 dimensional. It's not a physical limitation.

I mean that is pretty false. He has dealt with numerous injuries, but his spine injury is the big one.

He was not the same after his rookie season injury

So he's just not good anymore. I don't think it matters how you slice it, Boeser just isn't all that good.
