Don’t you Hab fans ever get tired of posting the same things every time?

Rangers match/offer sheets rarely happen/jets likely make you overpay to get that low 2024 2nd back

Mailloux is right behind Reinbacher on the Habs depth chart on RHD. If they are going to deal for a 2nd, it will be Xhekaj.

Not about what they would want to trade but what it would take to get the pick from the jets. Jets really could ask a good extra amount and make mtl consider a 1st and 3rd so you don't have the leverage there and Jets don't need lhd

No one is giving up a high 2nd for a player that is ineligible to play in the NHL.

Offersheets don't happen for a reason. Only one fiasco in a decade lol, get over it already. If it's too good to be true, it usually is

LOL

The offer sheet has nil chance of happening and Mtl wouldnt overpay to get a 2nd when theyd have to overpay already even IF IF they wanted to offer sheet.

why would a team make another team overpay for a pick? If you payed the Jets the price of moving up from the 60th pick to the 40th pick (which is like a 3rd rounder) theyd accept it because they arent petty children like Jets fans

And the rangers cannot afford to match 4.2m. They have 2.3m atm and only Schneider is waiver exempt and thatd only give the Rangers around 3.3 million with a 19 man roster

They would have to either trade a contract of over 2m (not happening unless they seriously overpay to dump Goodrow or get nothing for Lindgren, or they send down Schneider and waive mackey, match the OS and not be able to call Schneider back up until they trade

That’s incorrect lol they can literally waive everyone except the starting lineup. Go ahead and try it out lol

Rangers aren’t going to lose their former #1 overall to a 2nd round pick

19 man roster and $4.64m to sign Laffy lol

Like I said it would be tight and hurt them, but they aren’t losing Laffy to a useless pick

Despite the Jets being short on RHD prospects, they also need to sell tickets. I have a feeling that bringing in Logan Mailloux won't help in that regard. Aside from that, the Jets are unlikely to trade a ~40ovr pick unless they're buying at the deadline. They'd likely aim for a solid veteran (like Nino) instead of an unproven prospect.
