Larkin needs a lefty - season finale

Description
Frederic is one of my favorite players in the whole league. I think he could drastically improve his stats if given the opportunity and is a perfect fit for Larkin. Big, strong, physical, usually the first player to the point of attack even when you think he shouldn’t be, forcing loose puck battles in the offensive corners. Always has his stick available with good body positioning in the net front area. Always responsible defensively. Exactly the type of player I would like to see play with Larkin. I honestly don’t think this trade can happen because I think Boston probably wants to keep him. I mean we have Marco Kasper who could be this type of player someday, but he’s 19 and this is the NHL so it may not happen this year.

Why not just play Ras in that spot? He's got better breakout potential and a higher ceiling IMO

Wow. After that buildup Boston expects their 1st back or Marco Kasper in return. Do you have a Trent Frederic poster in your bedroom?

You make it sound like he is the second coming. He's a 3rd line forward at best. That's it.

No, I don’t have a Frederic poster in my bedroom but I wouldn’t mind seeing one at the rink or like one of those gigantic window stickers of him on the outside of the building.

Okay I get it he’s not like a star player or whatever but maybe he could be if he had a couple 30+ goal seasons. And yeah I get it that’s probably not happening in Boston but it could happen playing with Larkin in Detroit.

Marco’s not on the table in this deal but Ras was a first rounder as well. If it’s Ras and a first round pick there are other trade implications with your ‘24 first round so the pick would have to be a future pick like a lottery protected 2025 pick.
