The value is there for the Sabres, not sure if they would deal Okposo with him just resigning on as their captain.

Seems like horrendous value for Winnipeg and unrealistic of Buffalo to trade our captain who was choosing between Buffalo and retirement

Just as unrealistic is the idea that the Sabres would want Schiefele when their top 2 centers and part of their core are locked in with Thompson and Cozens. It seems highly improbable that either would drop to 3C or be forced to play the wing, where neither is as effective, just to make room for Schiefele.
