Gostisbehere would have to be retained at 50% or more for him to fit

Leafs have 0 need for Perron, they’d likely be looking for a D not a Forward

Rangers value that 1st more than Gostisbehere, the Rangers have no cap space for Ghost. A defense consisting of:

Lindgren - Fox
Gostisbehere - Trouba
Miller - Schneider

Would be insane, but unfortunately with the (effective) flat cap no team has real space for this type of acquisition via trade until the playoff salary freeze comes into effect

Lol Perron doesn't get you a first. Leafs easily pass

Toronto is also happy with Lafferty, we're not giving him up

Ghost can probably get us a 1st, but not from the Rangers.

Perron will not return a 1st.

I actually think Sprong can return a 1st if he plays like he played last year.

I do not think Sprong is the right fit for Pittsburgh as he'd be in a bottom 6 role and doesn't provide much defensively...... main reason he was traded to Anaheim we didn't have the top 6 role necessary for him at the time and still don't. While he fetches a 2nd from somewhere if traded it won't be Pittsburgh

That's your opinion but he's a proven 2nd liner who can play down in the lineup. 55+ point players at the deadline go for late firsts. That's just the price.

Tell me where Perron fits in TML top 2 lines if they dont trade nylander. No where at all, to give up a first rounder for a 35 year old regressing player would be nuts. Lafferty is younger and paid a fraction of the amount and fills a 4th line roll better then Perron. TML doesnt need secondary scoring they need D

NYR doesn't need defence men. So with that it is a pass.

Ghost went for a 3rd last year for a pick 3 drafts away. I don’t think he’s worth close to what you’re asking for nor do the Rangers need another one-dimensional defenseman.

No one is paying a first for Perron
