Radulov is a great player but not part of a rebuild per say. I also wouldn't say Kane is a first line player. D is weak but then again.... helps get a better draft pick. Unlikely Sedins ever asked to waive no trade.

I know Radulov isn't ideal for rebuild but he is really looking for money. So in the long run you pay him and he is happy but most importantly, he helps with Yakupov. All Yakupov needs is someone to guide him and I think Radulov would be a great fit for him so that in a future you could have a line that is Yakupov/Horvat/Radulov.
