You'd have to think that is pretty unappealing for Winnipeg. Outside of the 1st, that is two drafts away, nothing useful or worthwhile.

I know WPG would want a better return just don't know what else the Jets would want

Depending on when the trade happens, it would likely be a 1st next year and good prospect/young roster player. If the first is pushed out a year or so then the prospect/young roster player likely needs to be upgraded a bit.

Turcotte might be a late bloomer and just need a change of scenery...a la Thompson, Tage....

I would not write him off yet. But I see your point of wanting more from LAK... just not sure who would be better. Byfield & Clarke are off the table for this kind of deal. Do you think Bjornfot would be better? Or maybe Kaliyev? Just think Turcotte might have the highest ceiling

I guess it would depend on what Jet scouts thought of him. I think he's been around long enough now that we kind of know what he is. It's hard to think of who the Jets might want, maybe Spence?

Good point. It is all what the scouts think of him (potential v. current). I just see a 22 year old kid, who has room to grow. Tage is 25 now, so it took some time for him to grow, just as an example
