If by the end of this season Meyers is only worth another 1-yr deal at low $, then I'd hope we finally move on. I really like Dowd, and would like to have him this year.

Mateychuk and Svozil are going to be in the lineup by the time Provorov expires. Girard is not needed.

No room in the future for girard on the jackets and this is an overpay as is.

If there's enough interest for Dowd with a little retention, I could honestly see him getting a first at the deadline
