Marchenko isn't being traded. They waited 4 years for him to finally get to the NHL from the KHL and he's been a fantastic addition both on and off the ice.

Hawks aren’t paying to bring in Timmins. Is he an upgrade over Zaitsev? Sure is. does he move the needle at all as far as what a rebuilding/developing Hawks team will be? Highly unlikely. So then why give up a pick for him?

Timmins doesn’t have that kind of value.

As I have stated before, he couldn’t earn a roster spot on a bad Coyotes team, was traded for a career minor leaguer and by the end of the year was watching the most crucial games from the press box. He is an AHL/NHL tweener who will be available to anyone that wants him on the waiver wire annually moving forward.

Timmins did not get to develop on a pathetic TML defense core because our moronic GM thought HOLL was the answer to all our defense needs. Then they also thought having 9 defense was a great idea. Then they also though trading away Sandin was a great idea , how did that go LMAO , what morons we got Easton Cowan for Sandin what a fleece for TML . Then they add a struggling horrible defensive Klingberg for 4.15 M lol , that easily could have been Timmins would do the exact same job at 1.1 m !On any team that has a management team worth a crap Timmins will develop into a top four I can guarantee it, the other reason people are still skeptical is he was unfortuantely on that WJC 2018 team. The only reason I trade him is because he will never get a shot in TML.

No question is development was derailed by injuries.

I’m not a Leaf’s fans, far from it but to suggest his development was stunted by Toronto conveniently ignores the fact that two other teams have moved on from him. For a guy just about to turn 25, it may be time to acknowledge that he is just an organizational depth guy, nothing more.
