Description
Dubas will figure out the cap later, but I believe both Chad and Nieto are waiver candidates as they compete for a full time slot on the roster. Would rather we get something for them then lose them to waivers.

I'm not a fan of "Dubas will figure the cap out later". We can't run with a 23 man roster as it is, we can't take on cap space unless Carter gets inexplicably LTIRetired. Jarnkrok and Timmins are fine depth pieces, but I don't think they're worth wrecking our cap situation even more for.

A lot of people here default to this "they'll figure it out" and it's just silly. This AGM makes no sense.

Hell no to this. Nieto wont get waived, he’s good on the PK. Pitlick & Nylander will get waived, they’re spare parts. Nieto & Johnsson will be in the lineup and the Pens will have $220k in space to start the season. Timmins has no value. If anyone wanted Jarne or Timmins they’d have already been dealt.

Nieto was a day one signing, he already has his roster spot just like Acciari and Eller. DOC will have a spot too unless someone really shines in camp. There are two open spots for the likes of Nylander, Carter, Johnsson, Pitlick, even Puustinen to compete for.

Nieto was signed very early, so I doubt he's going to be on waivers. It'll be more guys like Pitlick, Johnsson, Nylander, etc imo
