Minnesota doesn't need or want Hanifin.

1) He's a rental
2) This is a huge overpay
3) They have plenty of LD both on the roster and in the prospect pool

Not a good deal for the Wild at all

Lindholm is interesting. I don't think he really drives it home for us, and even after this trade, that 2024 first is still a likely top 16 pick. I don't know if he'd want to extend here either seeing how we're a team in retool and he may not even stay in Calgary if they are forced to take the same route. Our RD pipeline is weak and Ufko is one of our best defensive prospects. Gonna have to pass on this one

And if Goligoski was willing to waive his NMC, he'd already be gone.

Deal, as long as we can negotiate an extension with Lindholm directly prior to the trade commencing and signing him to it after he's traded.

im honestly uninterested in paying another 60pt center 8m+. and not at the cost of a top 16 pick

I think id have to agree with @Ennis here for the most part. Id like Lindholm but parting with our 2024 1st would be a mistake in my opinion. I dont think Lindholm does enough by himself to even make us a surefire wildcard team. Honestly, if it was Tampa's 2025 1st and then one of the prospects removed along with the retention on Calgary's part then i could possibly be talking into it. Nashville has more than enough capspace for Lindholm so they arent going to pay you a premium for retention.

No disrespect as I have read other wild poster’s response to you as well some of ur others post, Minnesota doesn’t need Any especially LD. Alex isn’t waiving, nor is minnnesota giving up a top C prospect for a D

Swap Hanifin to Lindholm and Lambos to a different LD prospect and it’s pretty close.

Well if we don't get an agreement we like, we won't trade. That's why negotiations to happen prior. Top 16, meh. Top 10/Top5? sure, that's something. Not a cheap price but still reasonable.

I think if you knock out one of Parssinen or Ufko and replace one of them with with either Fabbro or Carrier then the trade is more on par with the Horvat trade, which I do think is reasonable. but, with nashvilles prior history of paying 60pt centers massive contracts im honestly deterred from lindholm (hes going to want at least 8+)

and my point with the pick is even with lindholm we arent making the playoffs, or at least its very unlikely. so theres a top 16 (maybe higher) pick thrown out the window.
