Something tells me that Toronto won’t make 7 trades between now and training camp

Tre is too chill but if Dubas handed him all those coins..you never know.

I was working on a Carter Hart trade but ran out of energy.

Pitsburgh says No and it's not close
Calgary Accepts and says "no trade backs"
    Colorado considers
Stl accepts if they have cap space, if not another team would easily.
    Arizona declines
Dallas may accept, if not another team might
Winnipeg accepts and says "no trade backs"

Pittsburgh deal is terrible for Pittsburgh and the Winnipeg and Calgary trades are very bad for Toronto.

I think this is all very poorly done and I would give you an F.

The ANA one is outright silly. Timmins not playing over Drys/Gudas/lyub and would in no way shape or form intimidate Drysdale and his contract negotiation. No room on the right side for Timmins without waiving him themselves

Kinda funny, using Timmins as a "scare tactic"
Pens under any GM (well maybe Dubas) don't make those trades that outrageously favoured Leafs trade
The other trades are bad for the Leafs.....yeah Dubas might have done them.
Dubas was a poor GM. Poor negotiator, poor trader, poor drafter.

Ya it was a bit off a late night loco post...

But the idea is the end product. The team for me at a glance is "better", especially for the playoffs.

I feel like a lineup something like this makes more sense as...
-D pairings MIGHT match, as they are now its scary
-Love the 3 Gs available, given these days not many teams get buy with less, even on a monthly basis...plus 2 hungry depth guys wanting in, or vets resting each game
-Ya Dubas is full of hooey...all about himself...he prolly acts as I did when I put this together?

Lets make it simple tho as I value your thoughts...take the trades and all else out...

    Reilly-Tanev
    McCabe-Demelo
    or
    Reilly-Brodie
    McCabe-Liljegren

    Which do you prefer?

I'll never understand why their this conception that Tanev is better than Brodie.
DeMeio over Liljegren....I'm not sure about who is better. I don't kow what Keefe was doing in second round last playoff. Holl and McCabe should have been on the bench and certainly Liljegren should have been in and maybe Gustafsson.
IMO Liljegren gets way too much hate on this site. Is DeMelo really that much of an improvement? Gee the the Leafs would have only have two starting Dmen returning next season.

No hate on Liljegren…I think he is good but not paired with any current Leaf, talking playoffs

With Tanev and Brodie the same, it’s not a competition between the 2, it’s who will pair better in the playoffs with Reilly

Would the Leafs put in a claim on Foote, maybe not as I guess they could have signed him…or maybe yes now with 2 RHD injured?

    My picks...

...my guess is Minten goes down and Holmberg stays...although I think Holmberg just doesn't do anything above average and is not at all physical AND does not have the motor Minten does...I would keep Minten in for about a month and then let him go to WJCs
