Canes wouldn’t trade all of that for 1 year of Lindholm. We aren’t paying him his new deal either

Yotes have no reason to do that, and Edmonton and Carolina aren’t overpaying for either of those targets.

OIh yes, the Yotes will give up one of their best young assets for a rental of Hanafin, because the Coyotes will be aiming for a cup. Come on, at least put some thought in.

Huge overpay for backlund, I’d expect to get a 3rd for him maybe a 2nd if a few teams are in on him but not a 1st unless you’re sending more with him

The thread starter indicates that Hanifin extends in his trade details. Agreed, no interest in a rental but a solid top 4 LD on a reasonable extension is very desirable for the Yotes.

I don't see Crouse being part of the deal though. Soderstrom would be a loss but one that AZ could absorb. Maybe a couple draft pics instead of Crouse?

If Hanafin doesn’t want to be a Flame, why would he go to the Yotes?

Hanafin will be a UFA after one of the biggest jumps in the cap in a decade. If his agent is urging him to do a sign and trade rather than test the market he should get fired. And if Arizona overpays to get Hanafin when they could have given him the best offer for free, what exactly is the point here?
