I will. Craig Button had a whole segment saying he’s buying stocks in the Sens and a lot of analysts are all in. I’m putting money on the plauoffs

I don't think they are that good yet. I see them right around where they were last year, maybe 2-4 points higher

Will a 98 point team make a playoff spot this season? The top teams in the Atlantic have gotten weaker but the middle is much stronger. 2 seasons ago it took 100+ points to make a wild card spot in the East and we might see that again.

Toronto, Tampa and Buffalo would be my top 3 atlantic teams.
New Jersey, Carolina and the Rags in the metro.

2 of Boston, Florida, Ottawa, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Islanders will make the playoffs and it's usually split between the 2 divisions. Is Ottawa a better team than Florida, Boston and Detroit? I don't think so.

They are 16-8-1 when all of Stutzle , Norris and Pinto play together. You’re in a for a shock

Ottawa will definitely be a playoff contender. As will Buffalo. Both are in very interesting spots.

Now I highly encourage you not to gamble. There is a reason it is highly frowned upon in virtually every religion and spiritual practice. ALL of our ancestors, regardless of where they came from in the world, caution us about the dangers of gambling. It's because it ruins peoples lives, families and societies.

Now you are a grown up so do as you wish, with no judgement from me. But I had to label the caution regardless.

Much love to you! smile

I won't be in for a shock. I think they could make it, but I doubt they will make it. IMO, the Isles, Sabres ,Caps, Panthers, Pens, Bruins, TB, and TOR are all better, with Detroit possibly being better but most likely barely behind Ottawa

So much went wrong last year for ottawa and they didn’t have their top 4D or top 6 centre and they brutal goaltending and all that and barely missed.

They aren’t missing this year

You present it as a fact but there are 4 other teams that are competing for that bottom WC spot (Buffalo, Washington, isles and Panthers) and I like their rosters better. All of those teams are either as good as or better than the sens. IMO Pittsburgh gets first WC spot, and one of those other 4 teams I listed gets the last one, with Ottawa potentially getting it. However, I just don't think they will make it this season

The fact that you like their rosters better means you have no clue about the Sens. I watched every game , I know what went wrong and even if one of the million things that went wrong doesn’t this year, they’re a lock for the playoffs

Well most analysts have the Sens making the playoffs. And as they should

Zub 93rd percentile defensively
Chabot and Chychrun 50pt Dmen
Sanderson 2 way stud #1D who plays in all situations
Brannstrom very good 3rd pair D
Tkachuk 90pt player
Stutzle 100pt player
Batherson and Norris 65-70pt
Tarasenko 55pt
Giroux 65pt player
Pinto 40pt player
Greig 35pt player
Kubalik 35pt player

Actually, if they stay healthy, I think they get over 100 pts this season, which annoys me because people will praise Dorion and won't accept that he gets fired. I gotta root for my team first but Dorion is a walking bomb and needs to be replaced 3 years ago. But there is just too much talent (IN SPITE of Dorion's work)

Stutzle : elite 2-way center in development, 100+ pts (paced for 95 pts in his 20 y/o season)
Tkachuk : 90 pts power forward unicorn? (83 pts last season)
Norris : top notch defensive center, can score 35+ goals if healthy (35 in 66 GP in 2021-22)
Batherson : needs to be healthy too, so if he can bounce back to pre-Dell injury, he's a lot better than people think. Elite passer (had 34 pts in 31 GP before the injury and was easily the Sens best player)
Giroux : aging like wine, 35 goals and PPG last season, great 2-way forward
Tarasenko : stop gap but could easily score 30-30 playing with Tkachuk-Stutzle (if he stays healthy)
Greig : blue chip prospect, I see him developing as a Jaden Schwartz type 2-way forward. Has already shown to be of that quality in his 20 games sample size last year
Pinto : scored 20 in his rookie season after missing a whole year, was in a tough situation with Norris injury but I see developing into a Danault level player
Joseph : solid defensive forward, PK specialist, can pace for 30+ pts at ES/PK
Kastelic : perfect 4th line center, good defensively, intimidating and elite on face-offs
Kubalik : not even talking about him as I think he should be the one traded

Chabot, Sanderson, Chychrun, Zub and Brannstrom is quite the defense too. All they need to do is to stay healthy

Korpisalo has been great last season after his hip surgery. Forsberg was a top-12 goalie in 2021-22, he was excellent

I still don't have a lot of faith in DJ Smith systems/coaching but the team will be good in spite of him too

Given the number of “SENs will be great in 23-24” teams you post, wondering who you are trying to convince 😅? You are either not that confident & looking for assurance from fellow SENs fans or you are looking for fans of other teams to engage you in debate so you can throw out your talking points; either way - kind of embarrassing. For the record - you haven’t convinced me; non playoff steak reaches seven years

You’re a leafs fan. The last thing I wanna do is convince a leafs fan. They’re delusional and will always hate on ottawa

I don't think he is a moron. And he isn't trolling. It isn't smart to bet on sports in many people's opinions because of how much money you could lose vs how much you could win.

Buffalo let in 300 goals last year and are running with a rookie and another bad goalie

Pens are mid and old

Florida doesn’t have Montour and Ekblad for months lol good luck

Caps are trash might be below Columbus

Isles don’t have enough scoring

Pens have much more star power and are hungry. And a strong, defensive minded bottom six. The only reason they missed last year was the fourth line and Jarry injuries

Florida will get Ekblad and Montour back. Didn't everyone write Boston off last year for injuries. And look what happened

Caps are getting 3 core guys back and will have a good year where they bounce back. You always are saying a healthy Norris with chychrun and tarasenko will make a huge difference the sens. I think that will happen with the caps, respect I think that are a slightly better team and the players they are getting back are slightly better

Isles are so good defensively and are a well structured team. And with a full season of a star player in horvat, they will finish above the sens

Buffalos defense has improved and will benefit from the additions of defensive d-man Clifton and Johnson. Not to mention if Levi plays like he is expected too he will be better than Korpisalo. And even if he doesn't play that great the sabers are much better than the sens (better d, offense team structure)

And I would also take everyone of these teams goaltending over the sens.
