I'd rather have Pinto over Frost by a good bit. The Flyers have no right shot Centers in their system, Pinto is a 6'3 righty who just had a solid offensive season as a 21 year old rookie and has a past pedigree of strong defensive play.

I agree with you I would rather have Pinto than Frost but I’m saying currently Frost has more value and they literally just signed him so they aren’t trading him. This deal also makes no sense because Frost has more value so in this you are getting a cap dump and player with less value lol

To the Flyers they are absolutely worth a lot and near untouchable for sure. I agree with you that Frost has more value currently but Pinto has a higher ceiling. But the Flyers have the picks prospects to make this work without moving any of them. Tippett is easily worth much more than Pinto, realistically they just don’t want to move Cates, and they just signed Frost. I’m not saying they will be here for a decade I’m saying they currently have no reason to move any of them except for a ridiculous overpay. Pinto and Joseph is an underpay for any of them.

Tippett is an interesting case because he's been a career bottom 6 player and suddenly shot a bit above his career avg and scored 27. I'm always weary of players like this.
You need to remember Pinto is still only 22 and scored 20 in his rookie season. How long did it take each of those three to finally hit 40 points?

We'll see how DB's philosophy of massively overrating his guys works out within the next 5 years. But to knock Pinto the way you are would be criminally wrong. He's going to have a year that will be on par with the rest of those three and is 2 years younger than Cates and Frost.

I think Tippet is not a good option because if Pinto is moved, a center needs to come back. Also Ottawa needs some cost controlled assets with the Sanderson extension eating up most of their 24-25 space. Tippet is not cost controlled going into the summer. Additional Ottawa is drowning in top 9 wingers.
