It’s basically Pinto and a 1st for TK with retention because Joseph will cost a 2nd minimum to dump. I don’t see the Flyers going for that at all. That’s $5M retention which is alone worth another 2nd based on Bailey being dumped at $5M for a 2nd. This is just light. The Flyers want multiple 1sts and multiple good prospects to even think about moving TK.

The problem is Konecny can just pull the same thing Debrincat did. I’d rather wait till the summer to acquire him and try and get an extension

You’re severely underrating Pinto. The Sens didn’t make him untouchable for Chychrun, Debrincat and others just to trade him. They don’t even do it for a 1st round pick

Pretty sure he played for the 67’s, and from London, Ontario. chances of it happening w/TK are slim

Too much for TK. Moving Pinto, given the wingers already in Ottawa, for another winger doesn't make sense. They already need to solve Giroux, Tank and Batherson on the right.

Moving Pinto would be as bad as Sens moving zibanejad . Just brutal to move a young centre who hasn’t fully broke out yet. I don’t think he will be a 1C but he could as good as guys like Nelson and Horvat

Ur severely underrating how much they don’t want to move Tk lol this trade was unrealistic the minute TK was added to it lol

If we are rating guys off of potential then Pinto isn’t even worth as much as Frost lol. It’s impossible to value u guys off of what they could be cause it’s impossible to gauge. Frost has better number than him in a worse situation and Tk is better than both of them

Pinto was a rookie , rookies rarely breakout.

I mean Frost first 82 games of his NHL career are only slightly less productive than Pinto. Some people questions whether Frost will even be a good 3C and some people think Pinto will be the next great center lol and Pinto was in an extremely more favorable situation team-wise than Frost. I just don’t see the hype. I think Pinto will be a very good player but he still has to actually show that before someone is going to trade the world for him. TK is a 1st line PPG player, I don’t think a mid 1st and a a hopefully 2C is an equal trade and I would be shocked if the Flyers didn’t also think that.

cant compare a 24 years old potential and a 22 years old the exact same way. if they have the same stats, doing it younger is always more valuable.

Wym Frost was 23 this past season and 77 of his first 82 games came between ages 20-22 lol. Pinto is the same ages his first 82 was from 20-22 years old. And they don’t have the same stats Frost has better stats at 23 then Pinto did at 22 that’s just a fact.

lets just go with 2 they have 2 years of draft year to make to simpler.

and yeas frost had better stats after 2 years extra in the league but thats normal, its expected cause he is older.

no bashing on frost, just saying the younger player is morr valuablenwith similar production. in 2 years we will know if pinto will have broken out more that what frost did with his 2 extra years of hockey.

We will agree to disagree lol Frost and Pinto have similar stats at the same ages in the league no matter what way u bend that to try and fit ur point. The whole point of this was to say that they probably wouldn’t even trade Frost for him let alone TK and that’s true cause it won’t happen

well they way i put it im statisticly right... you can say im wrong but you can just go and check the numbers...

i just wanted to say frost had more hockey season to grow. 2 extra years to be exact. and that is something to tske into account when comparing the 2.

I was going to say this is too much to give up for me but the retention gives the Sens an incredible positioning for the next 2 years.

If there was a way to have TK sign an extension now, I'd do it.

You're arguing with a guy who thinks Scott freaking Laughton is worth 1st + 2nd and that Joseph basically costs that to move

Yet, Joseph is 3 years younger, same contract, better defensively at ES and PK, and scores almost at the same clip. Just a bit less pts because Laughton has been granted top-6 minutes and PP time (similar TOI to Brady Tkachuk) on a ****ty team. Laughton is a glorified average 3rd liner.

So good luck ever trying to get some sense from that poster

The thing is I don't want Dorion to orchestrate any of this. The guy's firing is 3 years overdue. He's still there because he was Melnyk yes man then because of his health/death. Then now the team sale has taken forever
