Yeah I agree with you. I feel like Rossi needs to develop into a Bratt type player but idk if he will

Exactly that’s why it’s risky. The hope is still Rossi to develop into a Bratt type player. Then it becomes do you want a Backlund in his prime or Bratt type player.

Rossi could outstrip Pinto. But I’d go with Pinto side today.

Addison however makes up the difference plus some though.

Brannstrom is worth a 2nd. Him and Addison are probably worth around what Durzi got

I see Addison and Brannstrom about the same…pretty much a wash.

We'll agree to disagree with that statement I think Addison is a definite upgrade

I'd say since Minny wins in the short term but who knows long term but why would OTT risk that unknown long term?

I mean I feel like there's no need to move Pinto simply to be cap compliant. If the problem is Joseph, just pay the dang 2nd rounder to dump him to some team with cap space. Any team rebuilding should be chomping at the bit for that.

I used to be very high on both…so wouldn’t quibble with either.

Yeah that’s the problem with moving Pinto. You wanna move him to get cap compliant you probably have to move him for something unproven which doesn’t make sense

Any idea what Pinto is asking for?

The cap compliance issue is a huge problem for Minnesota. They need a player like Rossi at his cap hit to produce for them to do much this year and they're currently sitting at $1.6m left to sign Addison and hopefully bank some cap space to eventually make room for injury callups or a cheap deadline trade. Even if they'd upgrade making this trade, it forces them to try to find a way to move cap somewhere else to make space for Brannstrom and Pinto which means they'd likely be downgrading somewhere else. Kind of a no-win situation at least for this year.

Prob around 2 x 2.5 . Ottawa should try and sign him for 1 year at less

I'd say Minnesota comes out further ahead in the more near future but Ottawa would have the potential to be the long term winners. Given that the Sens are trying to win now I would hope this isnt the type of package that they would take for Pinto despite it solving the cap issues.

I think in this scenario the Wild are giving up the two higher ceilings while Ottawa is giving the two safer bets.

The gap between Rossi and Pinto is bigger than the gap between Addison and Brännström. So, I'd say Minnesota is getting the better part of this deal. But all 4 players are under 25 so that could easily change.

This is indeed very risky, you'd have to be damn sure in what you're getting in Rossi

I say it's not a move Ottawa needs to make

Except that Brannstrom > Addison

QxP8aWkAYd08a8M4TPqX18saULMrZvzYi-usQRFWOzZ0inz8eRKgZL9ZRh0fJhS4UrcQjLa-Im7v_ZDy8hPtznphoY29xeXfoLmKiAqb2qn1l-NMDUu-m1O9fTXIx5RerR0Njx5YD_dD1knEWS5HWuA

Also not sure how Addison would get PP time in Ottawa

Stutzle, Tkachuk, Norris, Batherson, Giroux, Tarasenko, Pinto, Chabot, Chychrun, Sanderson, Greig, Kleven...

I see Addison and Brannstrom about the same…pretty much a wash.

Brannstrom is pretty good defensively. He has a 24 pts per 82 games pace since he's 21 y/o, mostly at ES. Addison has 15 ES pts in 77 games since 21 y/o

I would not do Brannstrom for Addison unless we sucked on the PP maybe and pretty good at ES defense but it's the opposite.
