Don’t think Ottawa could do the trade. Joseph and Laughton have essentially the same cap hit, so we’d still have to unload a player to fit under the cap with a 20 man roster. Maybe with some retention it could work

You don't touch that trade, awful for Ottawa

Man that’s a bad deal for Philly on that Ottawa trade

lol are you for real?

Mathieu Joseph and Scott Laughton have the same contracts, I'd rather have the younger player with good defensive results and elite PK metrics. Laughton wouldn't have nearly the minutes and PP opportunity that he's had in Ottawa, so his production would go down and end up similar as Joseph

2024 1st round pick (DET) >>> 2024 2nd round pick (EDM)

Pinto for Wade Allison? Help

I just don’t think Philly should be adding a second then it’s just right

And least take off the second going back

Ottawa wouldn't trade either Pinto or the 1st for that package

Quoting: Renegade_H
So this trade would be closer to acceptable if it was Ridley Greig instead of Pinto?

Greig is going to be better than Pinto. Sens are equally as high on both. They are the last "pieces" of their rebuild (with Kleven and maybe Sogaard)

So Pinto, 1st and Joseph for Laughton and Allison?

Do you realize how RIDICULOUS that sounds?

I wouldn't even trade Joseph for Laughton lol. Give me the elite PKer who scores at a similar rate at ES

Need a fact for that? What about :

Over the last 3 seasons, among the 519 forwards who played at least 500 ES minutes, Joseph ranks 273th with 1.64 Pts/60 (higher than Kubalik, Pageau, Granlund, Yamamoto, Wennberg, Laughton (lol), Hoffman, Perry, etc)

Give me a ****ing break with Scott freaking Laughton who's a glorified 3rd liner because he got prime minutes on a bad team, just like Chris Tierney used to have in 2018-19 and 2019-20

Yes because Joseph would take at least a second to dump

Ok this has happened numerous times on here. Joseph is included BECAUSE HES IN EVERY SINGLE TRADE. Period.

Whether its Pinto, Batherson, or Greig... I'd be interested in making a deal. But you all don't want to try your kids but want our kids. You want TK? I want Greig or Pinto as main cog ++. You want Laughton? I'll add a bit to get Pinto or take salary. Either you compete or slowly lose vets for kids and start the process over again. G don't got many years in him.

It would take a second with NO SALARY coming back. But in this case, Laughton's 3.0 AAV is coming back. Maybe the Sens value Mathieu Joseph more than Scott Laughton. I know I do.

Even if you someone would ridiculously think that it would take a 1st with Joseph to acquire Scott Laughton, Pinto is worth A LOT MORE than Allison and a freaking 2nd round pick.

Sens fans do NOT want to acquire Laughton. Maybe some uninformed ones who haven't dig into his advanced stats but haven't seen it, or very rarely

For TK, there would be more interest but it would be Pinto for me, not Greig. He's untouchable for me.

Pinto + Joseph + Brannstrom for Konecny

Alright. Maybe straight up and we can ship Ceci to another team. As for Debrincat trade, the appeal to TK is the pending RFA status. Recently read The Athletic article about teams and cap space efficiency per player, TK was valued at 7.1M. Getting him for 4M is a damn good bargain.

Now look up what they valued Foegele at.
