I’ll be honest, I definitely forgot to move him after I added him in lol he’s supposed to be under Zellweger

Oh alright. If you just want a quick overview to why, I think Jiricek could be one of the offensive D in the league while keeping a decent defensive game. Reinbacher might be just a little bit less good shutdown than Simashev, but I believe his offensive ceiling is at least 15 pts higher than Simashev

I don't know this Nikishin, but from that list Seider, Power, Sanderson are NHLers, so this would be my top 3.

For sure! I’d agree with that! Think the Reinbacher/Hutson pair can be special in Montreal, they seem to compliment each other quite well! Jiricek is real solid, probably will be one of the better two way guys soon enough! Simashev is definitely interesting, unique type of player with his size and skating ability.

Nikishin is quite the player, I’d say the best Dman outside the NHL. Stuck in Russia right now but he’s big and can skate extremely well. He’s more a projection though so I could get behind bumping him down until he comes over

For sure! Don’t get me wrong though, Simashev has top pair potential like Reinbacher and Jiricek

Nikishin is a Canes prospect that seemingly developed into a star from nothing. He just had the best KHL season ever by a Russian defenseman, and is elite in all three zones while being the size of a truck and having the agility of a player a foot shorter than he is. He's the best defenseman right now not in the NHL and it's not close. He's an absolute STUD in the making if he keeps his current development path

Thanks, but that means he is still behind Power, Seider and Sanderson, until proven otherwise

If you’re talking ceiling and the fact he already has shown he can dominate at the Cup finals level it is hilarious to rank half those guys ahead of Byram.

I’d put Sanderson in that group 2 but ranking anybody ahead of those guys is hilarious.

Nemec and Clarke should be the next closest IMO but yeah

Way too low on Korchinski. Can't wait for him to prove people wrong. He's better than half the guys above him on this list

Needs to be healthy for more than 40 games a season to be higher for me. Best ability is availability.

I’d really only entertain him over Edvinsson, Zellweger, Simashev and Willander. Everyone else is definitely above him right now. They’re all great Dmen/prospects anyway

I don't disagree with this, which is why I would put him below Seider, Power and Sanderson. But he's at least shown he can compete at the highest level and was arguably CO's second best defender in the Cup Finals. He's gotta be above the guys who have yet to play meaningful NHL minutes.

That’s fair. I may have him too low then. I’d probably keep Nikishin ahead as I think he’s quite good even if he hasn’t played in the NHL yet, but maybe throw him under Sanderson at 5!

That's where I'd put him, too. His injury history has already prevented him from being in the "Holy crap!" level of young d-men but he's still shown insane skill when he's been on the ice.

I certainly wouldnt take any of Morrow, Simashev, Hutson, Reinbacher, Willander, or Edvinsson before him. Him, Clarke, Zellweger, and Jiricek are all probably toss ups for me. Byram at this point in time is definitely above all them as long as he stays healthy.

Also surprised you didn't include Drysdale and I would argue Poirier should be above Broberg and Soderstrom currently

I think they’re all really similar and it’s really close between them all. I’d 100% take Clarke and Jiricek before him though. and I could have included them, it’s not really a top 20 per say, just the first 20 that popped in my head
