    Why trade Trenin and Fabbro?

I have a feeling one of Fabbro/Carrier get traded prior to the start of the 2024-25 season. As for Trenin, I’d probably prefer to keep him, but there are a lot of young guys in the roster that could take his place and a contender could potentially overpay for him (with retention) at the deadline— so I could see him getting dealt.

Trenin is expendable. I enjoy the fact that he's a defensively responsible bruiser but those guys can be found anywhere. If a team is interested and wants to pay for him, I'm down

If Brunette is running the same offense in Nashville as he did in FLA and NJD, I’d think both Toffoli and Zuccarello would work for 2RW and not expect massive long-term commitments. Or a guy like Tatar, who is particularity good at things Brunette emphasized here (speed on transition, possession, east-west puck movement in o-zone). Not much of a finisher, but good cog in system.

Any thoughts on having Del Gaizo come up as opposed to signing a UFA D? Seems like he would be a natural fit to be on the bottom pair alongside Livingstone

If he can build on last season, sure— but I have a feeling he will be a career AHLer.
