As an avs fan I love this trade for both teams. Colorado gets a great gritty forward for only a 4th round pick while Nashville frees up a lot of cap to make other moves

Yikes! Nashville wasn't THAT cap-strapped that they needed to do this. Colorado did the reverse with Nick Holden, completely fleecing Nashville after getting completely fleeced last time. Rangers fans, say what you will about Holden's poor hockey senses, but getting an athletic bottom-pairing guy for a 4th was a steal.

I always thought he was a bit under rated not appreciated... So have to say Avalanche wins in this deal for once . I always liked him, thought he wasn't that expensive either for production he can produce .

wow, this was horrible for Nashville. Not sure how the GM of the year did a move so bad.

Yeah I guess the cap hit was too much for them to keep him. I wont be surprised if Nashville don't even make the post season. I wasn't impressed with Rinne who can be injury prone... Other teams in the West especially their own division are better now like Dallas can't be worse than were last year or even Colorado . Would be funny if this guy scores against them to eliminate from making the Post SEason .

I guess that wouldn't make them the KC Royals more like the Blues . I think last team to make the Cup when didn't win was like Penguins or Detroit . Don't think they will make Post Season they were the lowest seed so unless Rinne gets younger I think he showed he was washed up in the SCF.
