He's earned it for sure. Deal becomes a little bit easier to buy out in the later years should the need arise. I like it a lot.

Anybody that can get a Sharks team to the Cup final deserves to get paid a fair rate... AS long as the goalies not getting over 6M I think the team can still build a team to compete and win. Besides the cap hit went up like 2M which will continue to likely rise about 1-3M per year making this deal pretty easy to handle. He is the same cap hit about as Quick who he could have taken over for in LA if they traded him instead
