Damn that actually looks like a reasonable offer, I think Vancouver should say no IMO but Zehra’s would be a huge plus to the team.

It’s not close for Zegras. The odds of of any one of those pieces being close to as good as zegras is extremely low

Hence why there’s multiple pieces in the trade. No team is gonna give up a player as good as zegras and a top prospect and 1st for him.

Thats an overpay for him. Zegras is flashy and fun to watch on a highlight reel but he's not going to get that in return

Boeser is a negative asset with his contract , Lekerimaki looks like a middle 6 winger and that 1st rd pick will not be a top 10 pick.

What is the incentive for the ducks to do this?

Sure Boeser is slightly overpaid but he’s still a 50 point guy, lekkerimaki is off to a great start this year with a new team in sweden and is still only 19, I’d argue he looks like a top 6 guy but regardless he’s a very good prospect who was taken in the first half of the 1st round 1 year ago… an a 1st from Vancouver could realistically be anywhere in the draft. If everyone stays healthy it’s probably a mid to later 1st but one bad injury and it could easily be top 10 or even top 5

So what you’re saying is Pettersson for ducks 1st , Pastujov, and killorn is a fair trade

That’s nowhere near equivalent, the ducks 1st has more value than vancouvers 1st, but Killorn is 34 and clearly on the back end of his career compared to Boeser being in his prime right now. Killorn also has double the years on his contract. Pastujov is relatively comparable to lekkerimaki. You also have the huge issue of Petey being a top 5 center in the league where as zegras might not even be top 25 at the moment.

Pettersson is better than zegras right now but he’s also 2 years away from UFA. Zegras is a cost controlled RFA with no arbitration rights and is already a star 1C at 21 YO

He’s a very good player with potential to become a star but 65 points in 81 games isn’t star production. If he’s considered a star right now it’s more because of his off ice personality than his on ice play.

65 pts pts is star production and he plays on a terrible team. On an average team he puts up 80-90 pts
