Yeah you'd think that one Braydon Coburn would be enough. Alas, not a smart move by the normally brilliant Yzerman...

Are you kidding me! He should be at like 9 million for 7-8 years! Best d-man in the league! (Of course that title used to belong to Jeff Finger).

I love this building the team that Kings beat in the Stanley Cup Final smile. Way to cash in, I heard Boyle will get an offer to come out of retirement... This makes me think of when Rangers got Guy Lafleur smile. For getting bought out its nice to see him cash in while having a better tax rate smile. Funny how nobody likes this deal at all, I'm sure he can score 6-9 goals... Poor Cody Franson or Wideman, just hope he can manage taking such a large pay cut smile.

Looking back at this, who has changed their opinion on Girardi since before the season? He's been playing good in Tampa.

That's what playing fewer minutes will do to you. It gives you less time to play poorly. I guess it took him playing on a really good team to boost his numbers. I still say he's way overpaid.

I've tuned in to a TB game lately, seeing Girardi had scored. a few minutes later, he whiffed on an easy pass which led to a goal against, then he got injured blocking a shot. so everything's as usual.

While still too much for a bottom-pairing guy, it's good to see Girardi succeeding in the proper role for him.
